Environmental Tree project
In surveys carried out by the ICA over the past few years have indicated that residents felt that the environment on the estate needed improving. Many declared that the estate looked rundown and drab and would be helped by mature flowering trees and a few well placed flower beds.

In the coming months the ICA will be discussing the flowerbeds and seeking to involve the children of the estate to help with the planting and maintenance.

The ICA placed a successful funding bid to finance this scheme and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund. The scheme involves the planting of 47 trees spread throughout the estate, with the help of Preston City Council Parks Department, Cllr. Blil Shannon, Jeff
Scales (Neighbourhood Management) along with Bill McGrath, Gordon Wang and Tom Anderson all of the ICA, Tom being Chairman of the Neighbourhood Management Committee a planting scheme has been proposed.
