Aerosols

Damage to ozone layer if contents CFC. Please avid purchase where possible.

Aluminium

Recycle in yellow lidded blue box or take to the nearest recycling site

or Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC).

Asbestos

Can not be recycled or disposed off with normal rubbish.

 

Special removal arrangement can be made with Preston City Council.

Ash

Small amounts of ash or cinders from an open fire can help to keep slugs and snails off your vegetable patch. It can be sprinkled around your garden or into your compost heap.

Batteries (car)

Over 90% of UK car batteries are recycled.

 

Take to HWRC or ask your local garage if they can recycle for you.
