Listened to a tune today -
That made me feel rather sad
The singer remembered as a child -
Dancing with his Mum and Dad

His Dad now gone  -  to whom he used to turn
His Mum weeps alone -  through out the  lonely night
For the one she loved -  knowing there's no return
To  days now gone - dancing together with steps so light

Tears well into my eyes - with memories of so long ago
When Mum danced with Dad -  all around the room
Remembring now all they did for me - without me knowing so
A love that lasted all their life -  but ended all too soon
