BRITAIN IN BLOOM

Ingol Community Association with the help of the children and youths from the estate are looking forward to entering a project in the competition this summer.

The project will be looking not only to brighten up an area on Barry Avenue but the initiative will be looking to prevent antisocial football which is creating serious problems for residents

ICA entered the Britain in Bloom competition and was encouraged and supported by Annette Stevens from Neighbourhood Management. Kay asked the girls from the Girls Club if they wanted to help brighten up Dalmore Road by planting some bedding plants, . About 14 children helped with the planting and they all enjoyed themselves, they were excited when their hard work was rewarded with a certificate.

A group of little helpers Sheila and Kay had to go to the Echo Arena in Liverpool to receive a 'Britain in Bloom' certificate for an Improvement Award for the neighbourhood.
